Paidha market decongested by RDC

The RDC who is the Chairman of the COVID-19 taskforce has instructed the decongestion of Paidha Market to avoid the spread of COViD-19.

The main market now strictly contains food items like fish, meat, silverfish and beans.

Green vegetables and fruits have been shifted to the former second hand clothes stall and Matooke sold at Paidha main bus park.

Tomatoes, onions, green pepper, garlic shifted to Mvugu upper primary school play ground while, Irish potatoes/sweet potatoes, yams, cassava sold now in oturgang primary school playground.

Charcoal was moved to Adrukpele.

According to the RDC, the decongestion is in a bid to depopulate the market and to implement social distancing which government instructed all markets.
