Government says it’s committed towards ending the power crisis in Westnile region.
The state Minister of Energy Engineer Simon D’Ujanga has said that numerous interventions have been put in place by government and by 2020 west Nile will be on the main grid.
The minster has said there are two projects aimed at supplying power to west Nile which include Karuma- Olwiyo and Lira-Gulu – Olwiyo to go to Nebbi and Arua.
The Minister has said that work has already kicked off for the two projects.
The minister further said government is bringing two generators from Tororo to address the current power shortage in the region.
