ZOMBO:The territory police of Zombo district are investigating circumstances under which a man identified as Prosper Odali 25, committed suicide in a latrine this afternoon.

Odali a resident of Pagei in Zeu sub county committed suicide near St. Paul Church Of Uganda Mvugu,Paidha town Parish.

According to Swaib Awotha,the chairperson of local council one Mvugu cell Paidha town council ,he received the unfortunate news from a security officer from Mvugu Upper Primary school.

“When I received the news, I rushed to the scene only to find a young man hanging on a rope inside the pit latrine of the school. I later reported the matter to Paidha police station that rushed to the scene and retrieved the body for post mortem,” said Awotha.

Meanwhile, Innocent Ongega Godfrey, chairperson local council III Paidha town council has advised places of worship to be security conscious and guard their premises against similar incidents.

He said this is the third incident of such nature since this month began.

Efforts to get comments from Paidha police were futile at the time of filling this story.
