NAMHIGH SCHOOL CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF POST PRIMARY FOOTBALL GAMES

PAKWACH. Namhigh school in Pakwach district has been crowned champions of Post primary football games 2023 after defeating Paroketo secondary school by 5-4 goals in a thrilling penalty shootout that was played over the weekend in Pakwach district.

Speaking to Keneth Pithua, the in charge of secondary school  games and sports in Pakwach district, he said the game ended successfully without any cases of hooliganism registered among students of different schools participating in the tournament.

He added that students were previously warned of discipline during and after the game.

Meanwhile Panyango secondary school emerged winners of both the girl’s netball and football game 2023.

In the meantime, one of the players of Nam high school is optimistic to excel in the regional competition.

He attributed their success to discipline and timely training conducted by their coach.

Charles Uhuru, the chairperson Pakwach district games and sports urged the players to exhibit their talents in the regional league that will be played in Adjumani district next month.

Over 10 secondary schools participated in the tournament and four schools qualified for regional competitions.
