UPDF OFFICER, TWO OTHERS ON THE RUN FOR ALLEGEDLY MURDERING ‘CHEATER’

The territorial police in Dokolo District are hunting for Walter Opito Walter, a UPDF officer, Adoko Toolit, Abel Ogwang and others for allegedly assaulting to death Ogwang Patrick and injuring Akello Dina.

It’s alleged that on the 14th Jan 2023, Opito returned home on leave and found one, Patrick Ogwang and his wife, Dina Akello having sexual intercourse in his home. The incident happened at Akwayo village, Alyejuk parish, Agwata Sub-County Dokolo District.

Jimmy Patrick Okema,  North Kyoga Police Spokesperson says Opito made an alarm and a group of youths came at the scene, beat up both Ogwang and Akello badly.

Okema said the two were rushed to a nearby health facility where Ogwang died later the following day. Akello was rushed to Dokolo health center IV for treatment.

According to Okema, the Scene of crime was visited, statement recorded from relevant witnesses, postmortem conducted and body handed over to the relatives for burial.

Okema has now appealed to women to control their sexual anxiety even in the absence of their husbands.
