As Radio Paidha proudly marks its 28th anniversary of broadcasting in Northern Uganda, the management is delighted to announce a significant community support initiative: effective October 1, all death announcements will be aired completely free of charge. This gesture is a testament to the company enduring appreciation for the listeners and the radio station dedication to providing essential services during difficult times.

Radio Paidha Proprietor, Eng. Simon Giu D’Ujanga said this service will run until changes will be communicated to the audience. He added that each death announcement will be aired twice under this arrangement.

“Dear esteemed listener and client of Radio Paidha, we thank you for your support. You have walked with us this journey for the last 28-years, In appreciation of your unwavering support; Radio Paidha management has offered free death announcements effective 1st October 2025.” Eng. D’Ujanga explained in an exclusive interview.

Radio Paidha Ltd, a registered media house operating under the brand name Paidha FM, was established in 1997.  The station is a prominent local broadcaster serving the districts including Zombo, Nebbi, Pakwach, Moyo, Arua, Adjuman, Masindi, Hoima, Bulisa and Kiryandongo among other districts and some parts of Democratic republic of Congo.

Paidha FM operates on a 2 kW (kilowatt) transmitter, ensuring a significant broadcast reach across its target audience.  Its transmission infrastructure includes a strategically located mast on Agu Hill, which provides optimal signal propagation due to its elevation.  This setup enables Paidha FM to deliver diverse programming, including news, entertainment, and educational content, to its listeners.

Radio Paidha boasts an extensive listenership, reaching up to 9 million individuals across a broad geographical area. This includes districts such as Zombo, Nebbi, Pakwach, Arua, Yumbe, Maracha, Adjumani, Nwoya, Buliisa, Kiryandongo, Masindi, Hoima, and Nakasongola in Uganda, as well as listeners in Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, among other regions.
