POLICE IN PAKWACH INVESTIGATES ACCIDENT THAT LEFT THREE PEOPLE DEAD

PAKWACH.Police in Pakwach district are investigating circumstances under which three people died on spot in an accident last evening at Got Madi, Alwi sub county, Pakwach district along Pakwach-Nebbi road.

Pakwach district traffic police officer Philip Makoba confirmed the accident which occurred on Wednesday 5^th /04/2023 at about 1730hrs as the deceased were traveling from Nebbi town to Kampala in a Borehole drilling company vehicle which is yet to be identified.

The vehicle overturned killing three people on spot and several others critically injured.

Makoba said traffic police from Pakwach district visited the scene and the bodies were conveyed to Pakwach health center IV for postmortem while others were referred to St.Luke Hospital Angal for further treatment.

A case of Fatal accident was registered under the reference number PAK TAR 05/177/2023 and Inquiries are at hand as well as hunting for the driver who is at large.

This is the second fatal accident occurred in the district since this year began with the first accident was early February where two people were knocked by a speeding vehicle at Atara on Pakwach-Nebbi high way
