ZOMBO: Government aided primary schools across West Nile region have today converged at Paidha Cultural Centre Paidha for a two days annual Music Dance and competitions.

According to James Gwoktho, chairperson West Nile Inspector of schools Association-WENISA, the annual event says the cometition has brought together 11 schools from 14 districts in West Nile.

Jimmy Bithum, the chairperson Music Dance and Drama Zombo district says basing on the preparations and the competence of the schools in the district, he is optimistic that they will emerge triumphant.

Bithum said that Zombo is well represented with three primary schools which include Oturgang Boys primary school in Paidha town council, Zeu Primary school in Zeu sub county and Thonga Primary school in Oraa County respectively.

Meanwhile Joshua Mungutimu, one of the participants from St.John Paul II Oturgang Boys Primary school in Zombo district is positive about a win in order to be among the seven schools to represent the region in the national MDD 2023 competition.

Mirriam Ali, from Arua Public Primary school in Arua city says this is the second time she is participating in such an event and is optimistic that her school will be a winner with the help of God.

Under the competition schools will present West songs on Malaria prevention, traditional Dance, Poem among others that will contribute to the full marks of the completion.
