PAKWACH. Pakwach resident district commissioner Paul Eseru has warned residents against hiding suspects in their homes as this promotes crime in the district.

His remarks come after some family members obstructed the arrest of one suspect who allegedly stole a goat in Nyamutagna village, Dei Sub county, Pakwach district.

Fred Fuarwinyu, area local council one Chairperson said when police went to carry out lawful duty,they were denied access to apprehend the suspect as the family members concealed the whereabouts of the suspect.

He added that the arrest came at a time they are recovering from destruction caused by thieves in the area.

Lawrence Alithum, Dei Subcounty Chairperson equally appeals to the populace to desist from hiding suspects in their houses.

Alithum asserts that the community must work together with security to curb crimes in the area.
