The Archbishop of Church of Uganda Stephen Kazimba Mugalu has officially commissioned the northern Uganda organizing committee of Uganda martyrs celebrations 2025.
The organizing committee is chaired by Rt. Rev Godfrey Loum, the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Northern Uganda.
Others members on the organizing committee include Bishop Awinyo Ozelle, the bishop of Nebbi, Rt Rev. Charles Collins Andaka, the bishop of Madi west nile diocese and the Rt. Rev. Wilson Kitara the Bishop of Kitgum district among many other bishops from northern Uganda.
The archbishop Kazimba also revealed that a decision has been taken by the organizing committee that this time round pregnant women and sick people will not be allowed to trek to Namugongo for martyr’s celebrations on June 3rd in an effort to guard against challenges.
The archbishop called upon the faithful to prepare and ensure that they attend the celebrations at Namugongo Uganda martyrs, in Namugongo on June 3rd saying that this is not just an occasion but a commitment and renew of their spiritual lives.
